I would like to take this opportunity to thank Shane Trice, the Staff and Management of Backstreet Coliseum for a great job that they did for a great facility and us for our preliminary nights of competition.
To my fellow contestants, it was my pleasure to meet the new contestants, as well as getting reacquainted with old friend's. I look forward to working with each of you, at your respective preliminaries, and in your quest of becoming Miss Gay America. Your dream can become reality!!
Over the years of performing, I have had the opportunity of working with every Miss Gay America since 1989, and then having the honor of watching in amazement, the captivating Rachel Wells MGA 1979, and the electrifying Hot Chocolate MGA 1980, perform during the revue show. Thanks to each of you for your continued contribution in this amazing art form of female impersonation. I hope I make you all proud as it is indeed an awesome feeling to be a part of this elite sisterhood.
To Larry and Terry, I thank you for having the vision and the forthright, of continuing with Miss Gay America, and keeping with the tradition of "Excellence". I look forward to both a wonderful and productive year as your reigning national titleholder.
Finally, I must thank the promoters of MGA, without you, we would not be able to have such a successful pageant. I wish each of you, continued success in your endeavors. I will see you all very soon.
I also must thank the many people that have helped me throughout my years of competing. One cannot do this alone, and for all of you I am so blessed that you are in my life. Thank you. I now accept this challenge of being Miss Gay America 2006, and I will, to the best of my ability strive to continue in the tradition of Excellence…..
